Whitewater Rafting
As the Tone River twists and bends through the gorges of Minakami, it creates wonderful rapids for all enthusiasts. In the spring, Level 4+ rapids will toss you around, while the summer has more mellow Level 1 to Level 2 rapids. Either way, you’ll experience a thrilling ride while taking in Minakami’s fantastic scenery.
Bungie Jumping
For the real thrill seekers, Minakami offers the chance to go bungee jumping off the Suwakyo Bridge. A dizzying 42 meter dive, you certainly won’t forget this view of the Tone River.
Fukiware Falls
For a slower and more relaxed part of Minakami, a venture to the falls in nearby Numata will leave you breathless in a different way. A result of a small crack being eroded over millions of years into 7 meter high waterfalls, it is often referred to as “Japan’s Niagara Falls.”
